Overview

Destiny Achievement Center accommodated both mainstream students and students with unique abilities. DAC staff and specialists were trained to support students across a wide range of academic levels. We strived to model celebration, tolerance, and inclusion of others regardless of their unique ability. The term “unique ability” was often used in place of “disability” because we believed that every individual was created in the image and likeness of God, and that in Him there was no “disability”—only abilities manifest in unique ways. As children and young adults came to understand this foundational truth, they began to display a deeper level of tolerance, understanding, and godly love toward others.

Our Philosophy

The Bible teaches that as parents, family, and the wider community of faith, we are called to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”   In this familiar verse, many place emphasis on the phrase “train up,” but at Destiny Achievement Center, we focused on “the way.”  Every student who walked onto the DAC campus was uniquely individual and therefore had a uniquely individualized way of learning.  With the help of proven diagnostic tools, we tailored each student’s learning experience to accentuate their personal learning style. In doing so, students gained confidence in their own scholastic progress and became highly motivated toward academic success.
